Ash Singh, an improbable mixture of Indian blood, Canadian birth, Chinese education, and Asian business experience, has already established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the world of digital media. While still a student at Chinese University in Hong Kong, he conceived and launched Social Network Business Systems, a business network development company. This venture led to a successful full-time enterprise that was eventually acquired by Ad.WRIGHT Holdings, a specialist in branding and advertising.

Singh’s next role saw him serve as the Chief Technology Officer for At-Life, which created in-store plasma screens network and Singapore’s largest customer loyalty rewards program with almost 500,000 members, for McDonald’s in all of their 125 restaurants.

His entrepreneurial escapades led to several awards including being named one of Asia’s Top Young Entrepreneurs in 2009 by Business Week Magazine.

Along with his role as investor and director to 5 other companies in the digital media industry, Ash is currently the CEO of Interactive.SG – Asia’s leading digital media and new business accelerator based in Singapore. Interactive.SG has already collaborated on new media projects with established companies from such diverse industries as entertainment, technology, real estate, and education. Partners include Google, Audi, Microsoft, PayPal, Capitaland, Singtel, BlackBerry, Canon, Mattel, ESPN, Nickelodeon, McDonald’s and the Singapore Government.

Singh is also committed to supporting the local business community and to nurture young local business talent. He is a lecturer, speaker and honorary judge for business venture competitions at the INSEAD, SMU, NUS, NTU and his alma mater, The Richard Ivey School of Business.

His current project “Angel’s Gate” is Asia’s first 360° TV platform for entrepreneurs.

As a basketball fan, he is a shareholder and fan of the Singapore Slingers professional basketball team.

In his free time, Ash promotes his favourite hobby, turbans, through his mobile app “The Turbanizer” which in on track to have 1 million downloads within the next year.
