Bhupinder Anand is Managing Director of ‘Anand Associates Ltd’, a firm of independent financial advisers based in Central London, England. Anand Associates also has offices in Hayes and Manchester and is on the expansion trail.
Following five years as a broker consultant with Scottish Equitable, Bhupinder was awarded Planned Savings ‘IFA of the Year 1995’ after just 14 months as an IFA. He has since been runner-up for the same title in 2000 and 2002, and again received the award in 2003 (from Financial Adviser newspaper), becoming the only IFA in the UK to win the award twice.
In 2007, one of Bhupinder’s colleague at Anand Associates, won the same award.
Bhupinder was also recently profiled over five pages for ‘Selling Financial Services’ magazine as a model practice and in Money Marketing, a UK Financial Services trade newspaper.
In 1998, Anand Associates was awarded Evening Standard ‘Best IFA in the Capital’.
He is personal finance editor for Eastern Eye, an English language newspaper with a circulation of 40,000 per week, amongst other mainstream publications. He has also had his own TV series on satellite, and is a regular guest on various radio and TV stations.
Bhupinder is a regular columnist in ‘Money Marketing’ expressing his views and opinions to the UK Financial Services Industry.
In 1998, Anand Associates sponsored the ‘Britain’s Richest Asian 200’ magazine, and Bhupinder shared the platform at the launch event with Prime Minister, Tony Blair.
He is qualified to Advanced Financial Planning Certificate level and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Bhupinder is also a 17-year member of MDRT, with 16-years Court of the Table and 13-years Top of the Table. He is also an active member and supporter of the UK’s Personal Finance Society.
Bhupinder has spoken at regional meetings of both the UK’s Life Insurance Association and Society of Financial Advisers, and at both their Annual Conferences and delivered a keynote address at the Bank of England.
He has been a keynote speaker at Regional Meetings of the Personal Finance Society, introducing UK delegates to his Advisor Master Class program.
He has also given presentations at many other overseas conventions, including in Ireland, Poland, India, Malaysia, Canada, Egypt, Singapore, Mexico, Thailand, Indonesia and Australia. He has spoken at MDRT Meetings in San Francisco, Nashville, Los Angeles, Naples, Palm Springs, Denver, New Orleans, Atlanta, Tokyo, Hyderabad and Philadelphia.
Indeed, at the 2007 MDRT Annual Meeting, he was the highest-rated out of 58 focus session speakers.
He has spoken 4 years in a row at the Critical Illness Insurance Conference and in 2009 he was a keynote speaker at the APLIC Congress in Macau, China.
He has also three times given a keynote address on business and life planning, at his old university, Oxford Brookes University.
