ParvyRakarDynamic, dedicated and driven Snob Events (http://www.snobevents.com) are an event management company specializing in weddings, corporate dinners, hospitality, celebrations & themed events. Offering a bespoke and personalized service they have mastered the art in creating truly unique and elegant events that reflects the individual styles and personalities of their clients.

Parvy started her wedding planning career in 2010 working for a venue as their nominated Asian wedding coordinator. Giving up a career as a Business manager in the care sector, a industry she had 16 years experience with, Parvy proved that hard work and commitment alongside self believe would give her the recognition in whatever career path she took.

Parvy decided in 2012 to set up her own business under Parvy Rakar – wedding planning services and was recognized for her creativity and excellent management skills. She continued to stay humble and made her services accessible to people of all budgets not restricting any bride & groom wishing to book her services for their special day.  She used this time as a stepping stone for the vision she had for her business and wanting to be the best in wedding planning.

Parvy Rakar launched her new business Snob Events Ltd in August 2013 and has set the standards high with her achievements. Parvy is now renowned for the most creative and luxury weddings in the UK. She has set the bar high with her attention to detail and natural ability to personalise events to the couple’s taste, which is beyond articulation. She knows what counts and knows how to make the mark. She can visualise the bigger picture and can make it happen systematically by steering the right skill mix with her suppliers.

Parvy has witnessed significant growth and demand in her services recently and has taken the step to now push her services to the elite market, and working with clients that have wealthy budgets and is selective with the events she attaches Snob events to.

Some of the events and budgets that Snob Events have been involved in:

Wedding in London 2013 – budget of over £300k over 4 days

Wedding in Midlands 2013– budget of over £200k for a 2-day event.

In addition to growing the business Parvy has actively encouraged Snob Events to support charitable causes. In 2013 she managed two charity balls, using her contacts and expertise to pull together fantastic events at minimal costs to ensure the charities were able to receive as much funds as possible:

•    Hollywood Meets Bollywood – Charity Ball for Leukemia sufferer Sam Bahia aged 21 who wanted to raise awareness and have a themed event, which was enjoyed by all communities and people of all ages at Ramada Wolverhampton. Raised 30,000 alongside with over 300 guests registered for delete blood cancer willing to give a spit sample to be added to the donor list.

•    Diva of Hope Ball for Unique Home at Diamond Banqueting Wolverhampton. Raised 40,000 for Unique Home, a home in India for unwanted girls.

•    In 2014 Snob Events are supporting a small charity event for Rik Basra campaign in may 2014 to raise awareness and raise funds for a good cause and then working alongside Noble Khan for a charity ball in November, which is their 10-year anniversary for building community bridges. The event is to bring the community together but at the same time raise funds for Jessica Hope foundation – Brain tumor charity.

The business is run with a small office team of 2, and then hires the services of event coordinators to run the events on the day.

On a personal level Parvy Rakar is a single mother of 2 and has raised her children on her own while building her wedding & event planning business. She has been an inspiration to other women and shown that anything is possible if you believe in yourself.

Her tips for other women wanting to start their businesses:

•    Always believe in your product & services and most of all believe in YOU!

•    Any thing is possible with like minded people around you that want you to succeed!

•    Ask for HELP. Never feel embarrassed to ask for advice and help from others especially people who have set up their own business. This will inspire you to want to achieve the same goals.

•    Don’t let financial strains stop you from fulfilling your dreams of starting your business. Ask for help from family, friends or loans. It will be worth the investment
